About the Role
As a Research Scientist at Alethia, you will develop novel approaches to organizational foresight and intelligence systems. You will advance our research agenda while collaborating across teams to push the boundaries of how organizations detect, understand, and act on emerging patterns.
We are looking for people who want to discover simple, generalizable methods that work at scale, approaches that reveal signal in noise, detect cascades before they unfold, and compress complex realities into actionable intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Develop innovative techniques for pattern detection, anomaly recognition, and forward sensing systems
- Own and pursue a research agenda, identifying impactful problems, designing experiments, and carrying out long running projects
- Collaborate across teams to transition research from theory into production systems
- Publish findings internally and externally, contributing to Alethia's IP and to the broader field
- Work with real world data from enterprise environments to validate approaches at scale
- Bridge research and application by understanding operational constraints and business impact
What We're Looking For, Required
- Track record of novel contributions to machine learning, AI, or related fields, demonstrated through first author publications, significant projects, or deployed systems
- Ability to own a research agenda and independently pursue long running projects
- Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modeling, or related computational fields
- Clear communication of complex ideas to both technical and non technical audiences
- Genuine excitement about Alethia's approach to intelligence systems
What We're Looking For, Nice to Have
- Thoughtfulness about the impact and ethics of AI and intelligence systems
- Experience creating high performance implementations of ML algorithms at scale
- Background in time series analysis, anomaly detection, causal inference, or complex systems
- Interest in applied research that transitions from theory into production systems
- Experience with enterprise data, operational environments, or real world constraints
